Social health – many people live in isolation and suffer with loneliness.

When we share laughter with others, there is a deep sense of connection and belonging.

Research has shown that feelings of isolation and loneliness disappear when we are laughing together.

What could be better than laughing together with friends in the privacy and comfort of your own home?

At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and a new world of lock-downs, Laughter Yoga Australia introduced an initiative to make laughter available to people every day of the week. This involved various Laughter Leaders hosting free Zoom sessions and these sessions have continued for well over 12 months.

Laughter Yoga is a combination of intentional laughter exercises, combined with yogic breathing and stretching.

It was created by Dr Madan Kataria in 1995 when he started a laughter club in Mumbai,India with 5 people in attendance!

There are now thousands of people worldwide practicing Laughter Yoga on a daily basis.

Laughter Yoga can be done by anyone,any age or physical ability and has many benefits for

both physical and mental health.

I am excited to be hosting this fun event with the bubbly Lesley Hills, who is known to many as The Laughter Lady.
She lives in the small country town of Deniliquin in NSW, having moved there from the UK in 1993 to follow her heart!


Moving from the Corporate world of London to a Dairy Farm in Blighty certainly presented it’s challenges for Lesley!!
Having left the farm in 1995, she returned to working in an office environment and subsequently raised her two children as a single Mum.
Lesley became very adept at balancing parenthood and employment, keeping her sanity intact most of the time!


Lesley discovered Laughter Yoga in 2018 and was hooked from the very first session.
So much so, she became a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader in 2019 and since then has had the utmost joy and fulfillment in seeing the difference it has made to the lives of people who participate in her sessions.

You are guaranteed an hour full of fun and laughter like you’ve never experienced before.

All you need to bring is you, comfortable clothes, some water to stay hydrated (laughing makes you thirsty!) and a willingness to see what it’s all about.

Bring the kids, or whoever is with you. The more the merrier for this beautiful event.
